Blue Oak Window Washing Helps Prepare Rikyu Matcha Café for Its Palo Alto Opening

Downtown Palo Alto will soon welcome a new Japanese café: Rikyu Matcha Café, located at 121 Lytton Ave. The café is being opened by Daiji Uehara, a Japanese chef and entrepreneur known for his work with Hiroshi in Los Altos and Daiji Yacht Club.

Rikyu is designed as a modern matcha café rooted in Japanese tea culture. According to the café’s own description, the space is intended to be calm, welcoming, and carefully prepared — a place where guests can slow down, recharge, and enjoy matcha, Japanese sandos, chirashi bentos, and desserts.

Blue Oak Window Washing recently had the pleasure of cleaning the storefront windows for Rikyu as the café prepares for its opening. For a new café, especially one built around design, hospitality, and first impressions, clean glass is an important part of the customer experience. Clear storefront windows help the space feel open, inviting, and ready for the neighborhood.

We are always happy to support local Palo Alto businesses as they prepare to open, refresh their storefront, or improve the appearance of their exterior. From cafés and restaurants to offices, retail shops, and service businesses, Blue Oak provides professional storefront window washing throughout Palo Alto and the surrounding communities.

We wish Daiji Uehara and the Rikyu team a successful opening and look forward to seeing this new café become part of downtown Palo Alto’s growing food and beverage scene.
